Be it opening or in the middle overs, Jos Buttler is always a force to reckon with, and he proved exactly why he is one of the most feared players in the IPL with a stunning knock against CSK on Monday. The Englishman led RR to a brilliant win courtesy of a match-winning fifty, which resulted in a whopping increase of 17% in his fantasy stock price. He was ably supported by Smith, who held one end up as Buttler toyed with the CSK bowlers, who had no answer to his controlled aggression. An RR win was well set up by their bowlers, Jofra Archer and Shreyas Gopal, both of whom saw a fantasy increase of 4% and 8.5% respectively. None of the CSK batsmen was able to get going with Dhoni and Jadeja being the only ones to do some good to their stock price. All in all, it wasn't an entertaining game as we'd come to expect in the IPL, but fantasy shareholders did get their money's worth with Shreyas Gopal and Jos Buttler's fantasy stocks hitting the bullseye. Another player stock which would be in the eye of the public is Prithvi Shaw, who is under some pressure to perform in the IPL. With a match score over under 50, Shaw is in the midst of poor form, which is our talking point in today's Daily Insight. Let's dive into the numbers, shall we?Tale of Two Halves for Shaw in IPL 2020!Prithvi Shaw is arguably India's brightest young talent with the pocket-sized dynamite already into his third season of IPL cricket. His knack for providing quick starts at the top of the order has even kept the ever-reliable Ajinkya Rahane out of the side in the first half of the season. Shaw justified his inclusion and repaid the team management's faith in him with a solid start to IPL 2020. He scored 179 runs in his first five outings, including two fifties against KKR and CSK. Shaw averaged a match score of 68.46 in his first five games, which was significantly impacted by his Runs Scored vs Expectation aggregate of 27.31. What really stood out in Shaw's performances in the first half of his campaign so far was his ability to mix caution with aggression proportionally. As a result of a string of good scores, Shaw's fantasy shareholders saw an increase of 16.1%. With more than half the IPL yet to pan out at that point in time, Shaw's fantasy shares did look the real deal. However, Shaw's form has gone downhill since his rapid-fire knock against RCB. In his last four games, Shaw has only scored 23 runs at an average of 5.75, a whopping decrease of 83.7% in his average. Even his match score average is down to 23.8 over his last four games, something that will worry his fantasy shareholders. However, one does need to understand that he faced three quality bowling oppositions in RR, DC and MI and with a hint of bad luck as well, Shaw's price has dropped by 23.82% since the game against RCB. He will be looking to make amends against KXIP today, especially with his back up against the wall and place in the DC side under scrutiny. Against a red-hot Mohammed Shami, Shaw will have to be at his best. With his stock currently trading at 46.90 Sixer Coins per Share, Shaw isn't a significant burden on the Sixer Wallet as well, which strengthens his case for a trade. And given that run-scoring is relatively easier in the powerplay overs, Shaw could be the man to back today!Battle of the Caps - Rahul and Rabada in action!Speaking of the men to back, there aren't many player stocks that have done as well as those of Rabada and Rahul. On one hand, we have KL Rahul, who is the leading run-scorer in IPL 2020 with 525 runs this season. To throw light on to his undeniable talent, no player has scored 400 runs in this competition yet with the second-best being Mayank Agarwal at 393. On the other hand, we have Kagiso Rabada, the proud owner of the Purple Cap at the time of writing. Like Rahul, he has been on fire with 19 wickets, four more than any other player in the league. While Rahul has notched the highest number of 100+ match scores this IPL, Rabada boasts of seven scores over 50, which has helped him gain nearly 33% in his fantasy stock price. Apart from the intriguing battle that beckons between the two cap holders, there's always a chance of a profit when it comes to Chris Gayle, who is already up by nearly 3% in IPL 2020 despite not hitting his strides as yet. With the likes of Mohammed Shami (52.70 Sixer Coins per Share) and Marcus Stoinis (56 Sixer Coins per Share) also available in the Sixer Market, buckle up for another activity-filled day in the IPL!
