After a small break in international cricket, the action is back as we've got two games coming at us from the Indian subcontinent! While the Windies tries to clinch a remarkable series win against Tamim Iqbal and Bangladesh, South Africa and Pakistan square off in the first T20I taking place in Lahore. Both teams recently squared off in a two-match Test series that saw the hosts come out on top. While Babar Azam wasn't in the best of forms with a fantasy stock price decrease of 8.43%, vice-captain Mohammad Rizwan starred with 5.72% increment to hand Pakistan the win. Both of them will be in action against the Proteas, who have named a relatively young and inexperienced side filled with talent. Among the David Millers and Heinrich Klaasens, there's the curious case of Janneman Malan, who is making his T20I return today. Heralded as one for the future, Malan has found opportunities hard to come up for RSA, but with de Kock and du Plessis being rested, this could well be Malan's time to shine. But what makes him such a highly-rated talent? Let's find out in today's dose of Sixer Market Insight!Diamond In The Rough? Match Score Average of 70.09 for Janneman Malan in MSL 2019!The aftermath of South Africa's dismal ICC World Cup 2019 campaign saw them searching for new talent to mould and turn into world-beaters. With the likes of Hashim Amla and Faf du Plessis on the wrong side of 30, there was definitely an opening in the Proteas batting unit. Enter Janneman Malan, South Africa's brightest talent among the openers. Aged twenty-four at the time of the writing, Malan has already played in a few white-ball formats. Although he hasn't been too consistent, his match-winning hundred against Australia in just his second game earned him a match score of 133.19! Sandwiching this performance are a couple of poor outings, although this can be attributed to a lack of consistency in the opportunities given to him. But does he have it in him to add consistency to his game in the international circuit? One can cast an eye on his MSL 2019 performance where he did get an extended run at the top of the Cape Town Blitz batting unit. Batting alongside Quinton de Kock, Janneman Malan smashed 358 runs at a strike-rate in excess of 130. He averaged a match score of 70.09 in the MSL, the highest among the Cape Town Blitz players. Not even de Kock could outperform Janneman Malan, who registered five 50+ match scores in nine games. His ability to take the pacers on from ball one makes him a viable option. While there are question marks over his ability against quality spin and given his inexperience playing in subcontinent pitches, there's definitely something to Janneman Malan and his fantasy stocks in the Sixer Market! With Malan expected to be a major part of South Africa's white-ball plans for the foreseeable future, he could be the perfect addition to your portfolio! At 63.80 Sixer Coins, Malan's fantasy stocks are in limited supply and with the Pakistan T20I fast approaching, now could be the time to add him up!Tamim Down By 7% Against Windies! Can He Get Back Amongst the Gains In the 2nd Test?Switching over to the other game and another opener, albeit a more accomplished one, Tamim Iqbal couldn't come up with the goods against West Indies in the previous Test. He could only muster a match score of 24.28, his least match score in home Tests in over two years! He has seen a slow decline of 7% in his last four games against the Windies and would ideally want to end the series on a high. With the pitch expected to turn square in Dhaka, Tamim should feel at home given his technique and experience. As for the Sixer fantasy shareholders, Tamim is available for a reasonable price of 59.60 Sixer Coins per Share, which could well rapidly rise in a couple of games for the southpaw! There are more such options waiting in the Market as two cracking game kick-off today in Pakistan and Bangladesh! Who are you going to buy with the India-England Test also fast approaching?
