Ever since Eoin Morgan took up captaincy on a full-time basis in 2015, he has emphasised on an attacking approach, which has now formed the template for many sides to go about things in the shorter formats. One key aspect as to why England was so successful while employing a high risk, high reward strategy was the depth available in the side. While Ben Stokes was England's go-to man on many occasions, the charismatic Moeen Ali wasn't too far behind himself. The spin all-rounder was at the forefront of this change with his fearless batting and handy off-spin, often changing games in the blink of an eye in the middle overs. His approach was vital in England's 2019 WC triumph, which also earned many gigs in foreign T20 competitions. However, Mo's fantasy stock price has dipped by 23.6% since the resumption of cricket in July, which currently reads 40.00 Sixer Coins per Share! Although he had several opportunities to add value to his fantasy stocks, Moeen wasn't able to grab them with both hands, often disappointing fantasy shareholders in the process. As there's one with every underperforming stock in the Sixer Market, there's a catch with Moeen Ali as well. Walking along the same lines, we've taken the opportunity to understand and analyse Moeen Ali's viability as a long term asset as he gears up for a limited-overs tour against South Africa later this month. Without further ado, let's get the ball rolling!Going for Broke - Moeen Ali down by 23.6% since July 2020!As previously mentioned, England's all-out attack approach has served them well with Moeen Ali's skill-set fitting in perfectly to the cause. He was often called upon to lift the scoring rate in the T20s and ODIs, which made him a sought-after asset in many leagues. Moeen Ali's ability to play spin and pace equally well hold him in good stead with some of his T20 sides even promoting him for quick runs. In the 2019 T20 Blast, Worcestershire saw the best of Moeen Ali, who averaged a match score of nearly 100 in six games, including a perfect match score of 150 against Sussex. His pyrotechnics were on show in the PSL as well with as many as four 50+ scores in eight games. His form before the suspension of cricket was decent and with the ICC T20 World Cup also on the horizon, then, Moeen Ali was all set for a big year in the Sixer Market! However, things haven't gone according to plan for Moeen since the restart. The all-rounder averages a match score of 38 across the two formats, including his lacklustre run in the IPL! His fantasy stock price is reeling in the low forties, which has been a cause for concern. As previously stated, Moeen Ali's no-fear approach has held him in good stead over the years, but it works both ways. While Moeen Ali's bowling potential is limited, his free-flowing batting is a sight to behold, if it comes off and sadly for his fantasy shareholders, it hasn't come off since the restart. Moeen Ali has registered only two match scores of 50 or more, with one of them being a stellar knock against Pakistan in the T20I series. While there have been phases where Moeen has struggled, and times when his fantasy stock price soared over the 80-Sixer Coins mark, his ability has always stood out no matter which team he plays for in the world! The African Safari! Moeen's stock trading at 40 Sixer Coins ahead of South African Tour!Since Mo is used as a pinch hitter, there's always a chance his stock can go downwards, but luckily for fantasy shareholders, he is near his all-time low. At 40 Sixer Coins per Share, Moeen Ali is one of the most in-demand players in the Sixer Market, which is a testament to his talent as well. Also, Ali's prior experience playing in South Africa holds him in high regards. In fact, Ali played in the MSL last year with a match score average of 45.08 in the two games he played for the Cape Town Blitz. Although his recent form doesn't ooze confidence, the fact that South Africa doesn't have a quality off-spinner to trouble Mo could be something to keep an eye on in the upcoming tour. Perhaps Morgan and England could promote the all-rounder up the order, especially in the T20s. The last time Moeen Ali played against the Proteas in South Africa was earlier this year, where he notched up a 50+ score on three out of four occasions, which should also strengthen his case for a trade in the Sixer Market. Despite all the signs pointing towards a Moeen Ali special in South Africa, the decision of a trade lies with the fantasy shareholders, who are scouting for a bargain buy ahead of the much-awaited international season. Back to our original question - Can Mo Regain his Mojo? His all-out attack approach could work both ways, but if it does come of, his fantasy shareholders could receive a hefty paycheck at the end of the tour, courtesy of Moeen Ali's fantasy shares!
